One day Symposium on Materials and devices using soft matter: Current status and outlook held on 21st November, 2016. It was jointly organized by the DAAD, India Office, and Prof Amita Chandra Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi and had around 100 participants comprising of senior experts in the field as well as young researchers (post-docs and Ph.D. students). Prof. Franz Faupel, well known materials scientist from Kiel University was the Plenary speaker.
A one day workshop organised by Prof. H. P. Singh, Nodal PI of Indo-US Joint Networked Center on Analysis of Variable Star Data for 40 M.Sc. Physics students of University of Delhi. It included lectures and hands on training in Variable star and transients research provided by the Joint Center faculty from Texas, Caltech, SUNY-Oswego, IUCAA and DU. The workshop was held in January 2015
